HSE Policy

Labors and Workers selection

All workers and labors to be engaged in project will be not less then18 years old and not more than 50 years old.
Before engaged in workers we examine their health condition by doctor whether they have any serious physical or philological disorder.

Labor Camp Management

  • 30sft per person will be provide for accommodation.
  • Accommodation Place will be properly lighted
  • Toilets to be installed not less than1 per 15 people.
  • Proper kitchen facilities to be maintained. We provide suitable washing and sanitation facilities for workers in food storage and eating areas
  • We installed deep tubewell to ensure pure water supply at site .that water to be tested from BUET
  • Hand washing prior to eating will be emphasized to all workers at the labour camp.
  • Labour camps will be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition and comply with the requirements of the government health authorities.

Waste Management

  • We prevent pollution to soil, water and air quality due to improper management of waste
  • We also minimize generation of waste through efficient use of resources.
  • Solid waste will be stored in designated storage areas within the site, and clearly labeled waste skips will be provided for the separation of specific waste materials such as metal, wood and cardboards
  • To ensure that contaminated materials or wastes do not run off with storm water these will be properly stored and bund within impermeable containers.
  • ensures that all wastewater generated as a result of construction activities is appropriately collected, treated and disposed.
  • Waste oil and grease from the construction site will be collected in suitable drums and sent out for proper disposal. Records of disposal of such material will be kept.
  • No burning of materials will be allowed with regard to wastes generated by the Project.
  • Domestic waste containers will be covered adequately to prevent pest and odor. Wastes that can potentially be recycled (paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, etc.) will be removed by the Subcontractor to a Materials Recovery Facility.

Housekeeping

We maintain housekeeping in the project working area, working area, warehouse, the main mechanical equipment position and the site work office, living facility, etc. We should also carry out the constructing regulation of safety and civilization. Debrides are being kept on one place and unused shuttering, pipes to be kept in the proper stake yard.

Personal Protective Equipment

We will provide the basic PPE for each person in the project
  • Safety Helmet
  • Safety Shoes
  • Reflected jacket /Harness
  • Safety Glasses (guard against ultraviolet radiation)
  • Safety Gloves (if required)
  • Safety mask (if required)
  • Earplug (if required)
  • Work clothes, etc.

For carry on HSE we always maintain several steps to avoid casualty at our construction site like follows

  • We held safety meeting periodically, solve the issues existed in the site. The Subcontractor must participate in the meeting if necessary.
  • We diffuse the accident report, safety work plan and requirement of owner or the Contractor to the Subcontractor.
  • Our HSE officer organize site safety inspection, rectify the violation, offer the advice of rectification.
  • Carry out the inspection and audit to Subcontractor, punish the violation according to the regulations compiled by the Contractor.
  • Orientation & Training: The Project Manager shall provide the support and resources necessary to ensure adequate and effective training is provided and documented. Supervisors shall ensure adequate time is provided for such training.
  • Our safety officer ensures that all personal protective equipment to be inspected at regular intervals.
  • A fully equipped first aid box will be available, visible and locked at site. One first aid box per 100 employees (site) and 100 employees (office), to be provided.
  • We shall provide all fire protection and prevention equipment necessary for its operations, including several fire extinguishers, etc.
  • Our HSE Plan shall include a written fall prevention/protection signs around area, which makes maximum use of primary fall protection systems, such as scaffolds, aerial lifts, personnel hoists, etc. We will ensure that persons working at height shall have their safety helmets secured by chin straps to retain the helmet on the head and while working on height worker must use safety belt/safety harness.
  • Warning signs and warning tape barricades to be installed in a manner that to prevents accidental entry into the trenched or excavated area.
